What is good web design?
Well good design is the ability to convey your message
or your corporate identity through your website, your website
should be easy to navigate with a consistent design throughout
re-enforcing your corporate identity and creating trust in your
brand.
When designing a website usability and accessibility should be
considered as well as good quality content and Search Engine
Optimisation (SEO).

Accessibility
I am committed to creating websites that are accessible and as
user-friendly as possible and aim to meet W3C's Web Content
Accessibility Guidelines.
All website are designed and built using Cascading Style Sheets
(CSS) allowing better layout enabling content to be more accessible
using screen readers, assistive technologies and mobile devices as
well as text only and print only pages.
Cascading Style Sheets
Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) separates the styling from the
structure or layout of your website, making the pages load faster,
giving consistency and flexibility of design throughout the
website.
Websites designed and built using CSS tend to be better optimised
for search engines such as Google giving your website a better
ranking.
HyperText Markup Language
HyperText Markup Language (HTML) is used for the layout of the
webpage with the styling and positioning of the HTML elements using
CSS, this allows for flexible and consistent design for your
website, presenting cleaner code on your pages giving better search
engine optimisation and allowing for better accessibility.
EXtensible HyperText Markup Language (XHTML) is a stricter version
of HTML and is used on all websites that I build.
